This mouth-watering recipe for Mutton Steam Roast can be prepared in 30 minutes and serves 2-4 people.

Mutton Steam Roast Recipe Ingredients:

  • Mutton1 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves½ bunch
  • Papaya paste 2 tbsp
  • Yogurt (thick)250 gm
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala 1 tsp
  • Dry mango powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds crushed 1 tsp
  • Turmeric1 tsp
  • Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Saltto taste
  • Oilfor fry
  • Muslin clothas required
  • Vinegar 4 tbsp

Mutton Steam Roast Recipe Method:

  1. Marinate 1 kg mutton with a little salt, 2 tbsp raw papaya paste and 4 tbsp vinegar. Keep aside for 20 – 25 minutes.
  2. In a bowl mix together 250 gm thick yogurt, 1 tsp all spice powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp chaat masala powder, 1 tsp dry mango powder, 1 tsp crushed cumin seeds, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp crushed red pepper, 1 tsp chili powder, ½ bunch of chopped coriander leaves, 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and salt to taste. Mix very well.
  3. Now coat fried mutton pieces with the yogurt mixture, put in steamer and cook for 20 – 25 minutes.
  4. Remove in a serving platter and serve hot.
