Masoor Daal Nayab Recipe Ingredients:

250 gm Whole Black lentils
  • 1/2 cup Tamarind pulp 
  • 2 tbsp Sanbhar Masala 
  • 2 tbsp Jaggery 
  • 1 tsp Crushed black pepper 
  • 1 tsp Crushed red pepper 
  • 1/4 cup Oil 
  • 1 tsp Salt 
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds 
  • 1/2 tsp heaped Fenugreek seeds 
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds


Masoor Daal Nayab Recipe Method:

 
Cook ½ cup tamarind pulp, 2 tbsp Sanbar Masala and 2 tbsp jaggery until it becomes thick, dry roast
1 tbsp sesame seeds, ½ tsp fenugreek seeds, 1 tsp crushed black pepper, 1 tsp
crushed red pepper and grind together, cook lentil with 2 cups of water till
tender, heat ¼ cup oil in a pan, add 1 tsp mustard seeds with the tamarind
mixture, 1 tsp salt and the cook lentil mixture, cook for 10 minutes, garnish
with coriander leaves and green chilies.
